Autumn Favourites 2017

See, I always do these at the beginning of the season, so really it’s more like my favourites from summer. But whatever, we will roll with it.

Basically, this is that post where I tell you what I’ve been loving for the last three months. And, boy, are you in for a treat, because I have been loving soooo many good things this month! Ok, let’s go…

  • CurlME Brush Set from Pro Blo

I was sent this set for use in a video tutorial, and I haven’t stopped using it since! I bloody love it. I’m not going to go into much detail, because I have a whole post AND a video dedicated to it, so, if you so wish, you can see them HERE.

  • Gavin & Stacey

I know, I know, I am very behind with this hype. But season 2 & 3 have come onto Netflix, and I haven’t ever seen it before, so who can blame me for realising how much I’ve been missing?!

  • Wilde Like Me

5 Fashion Trends That I Would LOVE To Make A Comeback

Call me nostalgic or whatever, but this is something that I’ve been thinking a lot about lately. I’ve gotta admit, sometimes I miss the days of throwing on a bright coloured top, some neon plastic beads with some shorts and feeling like I could rule the world. I mean, let’s be honest, I would probably never wear this kind of outfit ever again, but there are some trends that I would LOVE to make a comeback.

1. Skorts

A lot of people hate these, but as someone that loves a good dress/skirt but is also V scared of it blowing up in the wind, I miss these a lot. Please make them fashionable again?

2. Pearl Chokers

Spring/Summer Favourites 2017!

It feels like so long since I last published a favourites post, in fact, the last one was all the way back in March! So it seemed only right to update you all on what I’ve been loving for the last 3 months, and there is quite a few bits! Spring has really been a season for trying new things for me, so I definitely have some new and exciting products to share with you. Without further ado, let’s get to it!

Prints From Dorkface Shop!

I FINALLY got around to ordering some prints from Jemma (DorkFaceBlog), and I am so so so glad I did! She is crazy talented, and the prints are just so gorgeous! I’d recommend her etsy shop to anyone. Her blog is also one of my faves, so you should definitely check that out too!

Too Faced Natural Love Eye Shadow Collection

This was my first ever product from Too Faced, and I was so excited that I did a YouTube video of my first impressions of it! The packaging of this palette is far from perfect, but the shimmer shades are just so beautiful that it can be forgiven!
Melancholy Mind

An anthology of poems about mental health written by my beautiful blogging friend Charlene, Melancholy Mind just had to be included here! It’s a book that I keep going back to when I’m having a down day, and Charlene’s poetry is just so beautiful, yet candid and honest. It’s the perfect read for anyone, struggling with mental health themselves or not.
Primark Swimwear

Now, this is a little bit generalistic, but Primark have been KILLING it with their swimwear lately! If you don’t know my dimensions, I have the chest size of a ladies 18, the waist of a 10, the hips of a 14 and the arms of a 12, so anything all in one can be really confusing to try and buy! I used to pay £50 per swimsuit for a pretty averagely styled swimsuit just so that it would fit me, but not anymore!
I can buy a size 16 (for reference) in Primark swimwear and it just fits! Plus, at only £4 each and perfectly on trend, these swimming costumes couldn’t be any better! And, they’ve definitely helped my bank balance…
M&S Bralette/Bralet

I recently saw a tweet about how Marks & Spencer had begun to sell bralettes without padding or underwiring in bigger sizes, and I just couldn’t contain my excitement, I had to buy 2! At £9.50 each, these are pretty reasonably priced. However, the real brilliance is in the amount of support they give you! With adjustable, strong straps, these bralettes hold me up perfectly and just make me feel oh-so-confident, it’s amazing and I am so glad I found out about these! Plus, they are really pretty and they come in 4 different colours, which isn’t bad for a range which fits and supports my 36G bust!
Collection Soft Glow Blusher

I love my Laura Geller Blush, it holds my heart completely, but it’s just so expensive! So, I’ve been on the hunt for an every day drugstore blush that is pretty but won’t hurt my bank balance so much, and I think I’ve found the one! This blush from Collection is beautifully pigmented, and just looks gorgeous on. It really suits my skin tone well, and I love that it gives me a natural, healthy glow! Weirdly, when I was trying to find this product online to link to this post, I found that it is only in stock in Morrisons, which is a little strange. However, at only £3, this product is a bargain and definitely worth hunting around for!

How I Met Your Mother

When this show was the hype and was shown on E4, I watched it almost religiously! However, I did get tired of the re-runs on E4 so kind of gave up on it a little after it ended. I reconciled my love for it when Netflix added it to their library, as this meant that I could re-watch all of the episodes in order! HIMYM is hands-down my favourite TV show ever, and re-watching it all brought back the same moments of laughter and tears that I experienced the first time! If you haven’t seen it yet, you NEED to watch it!

Boohoo Culottes

I did write a whole separate post about this outfit, but I HAD to include these Culottes in my favourites! They’re bang on trend, affordable, comfortable and you can dress them up or down, what more could you possibly want?!

This is a little bit random, because it’s a colour so nothing specific and not something you can buy from a shop or whatever. But, this season, I just cannot get enough of this colour! If you follow my Instagram, you may have noticed how much I’ve been loving it. It just cheers me up and I think it really brings summer to life! So I’ve been wearing it, photographing it, and just appreciating it!

And that’s all from me!

Thank you for reading, and let me know what you’ve been loving in the comments!

Until next time,

Favourites ✨

It’s that time of the season where I share everything I’ve been loving so far! And this post does not disappoint, I’ve been loving so many different things this season!

Let’s get straight to it because there’s quite a bit to get through…

Lancôme Juicy Shakers

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT. A Lip oil with a slight pigment, these are so nourishing and look great too! My lips have seriously been thanking me for using these and I don’t think I’ll be forgetting about these any time soon.

Fab Little Bag*

As well as being super cute, these are super functional. These are little biogradable bags which make tampon disposal a little easier. I love using these when I visit my friends houses as I can dispose of my tampon without being embarrassed and without flushing it down the loo! Fab invention.

NYX Doll Eye Mascara

This mascara is just gorgeous and it’s quickly becoming my favourite. It’s so affordable and so much better than ones that I’ve tried of a higher price bracket. I’m in love with it!

Lancôme La Vie Est Belle body lotion

This smells AMAZING! Plus it has a little shimmer so, as well as the normal nourishing that body lotions do, this makes me shimmery and smell amazing too! 10/10 from me!

Elegant Touch Nails*

So I recently became an elegant touch insider which is just so amazing and I am really enjoying being on the programme! They’ve sent me 4 different sets of nails this month and above are my favourite 2! I love these nails because they’re a fraction of the price of acrylics, you can change them up more often and they don’t ruin your nails nowhere near as much as actual acrylics!
Micheal Kors Watch

I got this watch from my boyfriend for Christmas and, let’s be honest I’m not a massive watch fan, but I love this. With a rose gold and crystal theme this watch simply couldn’t be more perfect, and I’m so happy I received it!

Marc Jacobs- Honey

I recently rediscovered my love for this perfume after receiving it for Christmas! Marc Jacobs’ perfumes always come in the cutest packaging, but the smell of this one just screams spring to me!

Benefit They’re Real! Double the Lip

A fairly new product from benefit, but one I have been really enjoying lately! This is basically a lipstick and lip liner in one and it’s perfect for when you want a quick lip look, or if you’re rubbish at applying lip liner like me!

Models Own Polishes- Chrome and Glitter!

I’ve been loving these polishes for so long now, every time I go to paint my nails i’m enticed by the chromes! And they look oh so gorgeous with the glitter layered over!

NYX Lingerie (shade embellishment)

This lip product was all over my Insta feed not too long ago and I was dying to try it but every time I went to buy it it had sold out. I eventually got my hands on it and I can definitely say it was worth the wait! Plus this shade is super gorgeous 😍.

Light-up mirror/jewellery box from Debenhams

I received this for Christmas and I just absolutely adore it! It’s just so pretty and handy and there’s lots of room to store my makeup too. So in love with this product!
And that’s all for now! I mean, I realise I’m saying that’s all but this is like my longest favourites post ever, oops. I hope you’ve enjoyed reading!

Blogmas Day 7- Winter Favourites

It’s that time of the season again where I tell you my favourite things, and it is my first ever one for winter!

Ok, so this season so far I have been loving..

My new header!

If you follow me on Twitter you may have noticed that I have a brand new header, and I absolutely love it! It was made by aloha Lola cards and I couldn’t be happier with it! Claire was so willing and let me approve every single little step that went into her work and I’m so glad I chose her!

She makes other custom designs such as characatures as well, you can visit her website HERE!

Costa PeppermintHot chocolate

I’ve never been much of a costa lover until recently when I discovered their hot chocolate, they’re just amazing. And the peppermint flavour one from their Christmas range? All the heart eyes.

Kiss False Nails*

I was actually sent this product by a PR team and I just cannot believe how much I have fallen in love with them! I love doing my own nails, I always have, and I can’t always afford to get them done professionally at the salon, but these false nails tick both of those boxes! Whilst I’m unsure I would agree that they are ‘better than the salon’ as the box suggests, I would definitely suggest that these are a more affordable alternative, especially if you have a job where nails are not allowed but want some for a particular occasion as these are cheaper than the salon and last only 2 weeks, as I found, whereas my salon nails usually last between 3 and 4.

Avon Magix Prime and Set Spray

I think I may have already mentioned this one, but I love it so much! It holds my makeup in place perfectly and works as a primer and setting spray, so 2 for 1!

Makeup Revolution Advent Calendar

I got this from Superdrug when it was a star buy (so was cheaper than it should have been) and I definitely do not regret it! Obviously I’ve only been opening it for a few days, but I love getting a new makeup treat to try out in the mornings and I’m gonna miss it when December is over!

Gilmore Girls

Yes, I am aware that I am a few years late to the club. But after finishing Gossip Girl and whilst waiting for the new series of PLL, I began watching Gilmore Girls to fill a whole and I have become OBSESSED. Best of all, they released a new 4-part one off series to Netflix in November (which I haven’t watched yet, so no spoilers!) so there is something even more exciting about this TV show at the moment!

This is a series currently on Netflix that I’ve just finished and it was SO GOOD I just wish they would hurry up with putting the next season on! I would 100% recommend this to anyone though! Especially those interested in criminology!

Shawn Mendes- Illuminate

I don’t usually include music in these, but I’ve recently been listening to a lot more as I have purchased an Apple Music Student Membership (which is great value for money half price for students I should add!). Since getting this membership, I have been listening to Shawn Mendes’ album a lot and I’m really loving it!

Charlotte Tilbury’s Scent Of A Dream

I have been sent so many testers of this perfume that I just have to buy one, I just love it so much! It’s so strong but not in an overpowering way, I imagine a small bottle could last you a really long time as you only need a little to smell like ‘a dream’ (see what i did there?) all day long!

And I think that’s about it for this season!

Thanks for reading, another new post tomorrow!

Autumn Favourites

*starts singing ‘it’s the most wonderful time of the year’*

Hellooooo there!

IT’S MY FAVOURITE TIME OF THE YEAR… AUTUMN!! It’s the time of great fashion, beautiful oranges, toffee apples, cute scarves and berry lips and I am so excited to be doing my second, ever, favourites on my blog! Whilst I know it isn’t the end of Autumn yet, as I do my favourites seasonally, I like to publish them around the middle of the season so that they’re still relevant and people can still go out and buy them for the remainder of the season.

Let’s begin..

First of all, I have been loving The Flawless Eyeshadow Palette by Make up Revolution!

Although I did also love this in Summer, the copper/bronze/gold tones in the middle of the palette just scream Autumn to me, so I’ve been so excited to be able to experiment with those a bit more this season!

Another make up product that I have been loving is the NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams! These are a Matte, liquid lipstick, but the colour isn’t too bold and they are quite moisturising on the lips, as well as pretty long lasting! I have been wearing these every day since I got them, I honestly couldn’t love them more!

Onto underwear…

I recently discovered a company online called ElliceLydia. This is only a small company, but they hand make the PRETTIEST underwear in a huge variety of sizes, up to cup size GG! So this means that even women with bigger busts can have pretty underwear, it’s so amazing and I’m so glad I found them!

I have also been really loving the TV Show Victoria at the moment! It’s on ITV on Sundays at 9pm and, although I do believe that the last episode is due to air tonight, you can watch all of the episodes on the ITV Hub! This is an 8 part series all about the life of Queen Victoria and, honestly, it is fascinating! She was a right little fire cracker and I love her and this series, and Jenna Coleman is as amazing as always!

In terms of fashion, Matalan actually have a great range in at the moment! I picked up a beautiful burnt orange scarf and a very Autumnal jumper from there the other week and I’ve been loving them!

Everything 5 Pounds have also killed it this Autumn! I’ve been in love with this coat (featured in my Look Book) for those cold mornings, and I also ordered a soft pink turtle neck from there the other day which is amazing quality, so soft and so snuggly!

I’ve also been very into the brand new Rhubarb Crumble candle by Yankee Candle, it smells like baking and sweets and it just makes me oh so happy! I reviewed the 4 new Yankee Candle Harvest Time Collection candles in an earlier blog post if you fancy a read!

And that’s about it for this season!

I hope you enjoyed reading, let me know in the comments what you’ve been loving so far this Autumn!
