Blogmas Day 16- Favourite Christmas Songs!

Because I love a good ‘Top Ten’ style post, today I’m going to count down my favourite Christmas songs of all time. Reverse order.. drumroll please…

10. Justin Bieber- Mistletoe

Gotta have a lil’ bit of Bieber at Christmas haven’t ya? I love this song, but it’s not ‘traditional’ Christmas music to me hence why it is at number 10!

9. Boney M- Mary’s Boy Child

100% a classic to me! This song is just perfect for singing along and I love the gospel style!

8. Paul McCartney- Wonderful Christmas Time

Another classic! Gotta love this song!

7. Wham!- Last Christmas

This song reminds me of singing to my primary school ex-boyfriend (hahaha embarrassing little anecdote!). For me, it’s a bit too sad to be really high up on my favourites, but it is definitely a must-play at Christmas-time!

6. John Lennon- Happy Christmas (War Is Over)

I love John Lennon and I love the meaning behind this song! Definitely one of my favourites!

5. Michael Buble- Santa Baby

Is it even Christmas without a bit of Buble? I love this version of this song because it’s less sexual and much more child friendly, so it can be palyed at dinner without eyebrows being raised!

4. Wizzard- I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day

This song IS my childhood at Christmas time! It was my ultimate fav as a kid because of the beat and the lyrics, I really did wish it could be Christmas every day!

3. Mariah Carey- All I Want For Christmas Is You

The one everyone sings along to! Everyone’s gotta do a powergrab during the ‘I-I-IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII’.

2. The Pogues Featuring Kirsty MacColl- Fairytale Of New York

This is a much more recent favourite of mine (wasn’t really allowed to listen to the expletives lol) but it’s growing on me and every year I listen to it more and more!

1. Band Aid 1984- Do They Know It’s Christmas

I just love the meaning behind this song. I love that it raises money for chairty. To me, this song is what Christmas is all about.

As always, thanks for reading! Feel free to have a little explore of my other Blogmas posts and I’ll see you again tomorrow!
